Welcome to the internet home of the American Women's
Association of Hong Kong! I am proud to serve as the 47th President
of a vibrant and diverse organization of women who find themselves
calling Hong Kong home. I came to this city after a brief posting
in Korea, and joined the AWA in October1998.
Over the past fifteen years, my family and I have also had homes
in Texas, Illinois and California. In addition to my AWA activities,
I have three very active sons, Joseph (11), Jay (9), and Alec (3).
Prior to being elected President, I served for a year as the 2nd
Vice President and Coordinator of the Membership Activities Committee.

The
American Women's Association of Hong Kong was
founded in 1956 as a non-profit, charitable
organization. We are a voluntary organization of international women,
supporting Hong Kong charities and schools through community service
and monetary grants, while also providing educational and social
activities for our members. On average, the AWA provides over
HK $1.5 million annually to Hong Kong charities and educational
institutions to support programs and services that benefit children,
the elderly, handicapped, women and families, community activities
and students.
These grants are made possible
by the outstanding efforts of our various fundraising activities
and events. From our annual ball to our charity bazaars, the results
of the AWA's work and the individual generosity of our members enables
us to reach out to the Hong Kong community in support of many worthwhile
causes.
